Great product... but not so great in their PN management...
Love these filters. Been using them for years. Only wish that K&N would UPDATE THEIR DATABASE ON THEIR WEBSITE TO INCLUDE MORE MODELS. Had a heckuva time trying to find one for my Prius Plugin, turns out they DO make one, they just don't bother to list the cross reference on their site.

Only filter I use.
Have been using the HP-1002 since 2013 when I bought my Speed3. Pair this with PP 5W-30 and you're good to go. I've never used any other combo of products, but this seems to work perfectly. I change every 3000-3500K and the only gripe is that I often round off the welded on nut. This is my own fault as I'm using an adjustable wrench instead of a 1" wrench. I'm so used to taking these off at this point I just do it with a large set of channel locks. Works like a charm.

So nice to have the nut welded on the end
I've got a 2000 Ford F150 and 2001 Mazda Tribute (same as Ford Escape) and both engines have their oil filters tucked up in the nastiest of locations. It's a royal pain in the ass to change the filter until I stumbled upon these K&N filters. Slap a 1" socket on it with a swivel head racket attachment and you're good to go. No more hassling two or three different filter wrenches that will only budge the filter a quarter of an inch at a time until it's free. Both vehicles are going strong and I run fresh oil changes in them every 5 months regardless of mileage or 3000 miles, whichever comes first. I'm an old school mechanic and believe me, oil and filters are cheap compared to an engine overhaul.

Only the best from K&N A+
I only use the best parts on my Mazdaspeed 3. This is one of the best filters on the market. It is as good as an OEM Mazda filters with a higher flow rate so you will have the maximum protection while increasing your engines performance. Every product by K&N is super high quality and made in the USA. Stay away from competitors like Fram their stuff is just awful. I highly recommend this for performance cars due to its increased flow rate vs a standard filter.

Great quality
I put this on my 2000 Tundra with the 4.7L engine. It fit perfectly with no issues whatsoever, and has been maintaining its seal with no leaks. I chose this so that I can remove it easily with a socket rather than trying to crank at a slippery filter by hand. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to change out their filter for an easier to remove filter.

K&N quality plus swear jar insurance
The bolt for these things is mildly handy, not necessary but for the extra dollar or whatever consider it a cheap insurance policy so you won’t be flipping out trying to dislodge it when you replace it. K&N makes great filters too, watch some video reviews where they cut open filters if you wanna see how they do it

I've always used this product and it has never failed me. Oil still looks good coming out of the pan.
I'm not an engineer or a mechanical expert, but I do most of my own work on our vehicles and I have always used K&N oil and air filters. Along with high quality synthetic oil, we drive our vehicles well beyond 100k miles and they are still running great when we sell them. I can't say for sure that this product contributes to that, but I'll always buy them. I should also mention that with 100% synthetic oil and this filter, I only change our oil every 7500 miles. Can't beat the price on Amazon!

I love these filters!
I love these filters! Pros: very easy to get on/off with the welded nut on top of the filter. K&N has been around for a long time, I feel they produce quality products. Cons: none. K&N oil filters and Mobil 1 full synthetic oil, a match made in heaven!

Easy to use
After you use these you will never go back to a filter without the hex nut. Removal is so easy even in hard to reach places. The nut allows for precise tighting . They are very well made.
